Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui Okauru

Mrs. Ifueko M Omoigui Okauru is a trailblazing finance and public sector reform expert whose career spans over four decades, beginning with Arthur Andersen & Co. (now KPMG, Accenture/Verraki, and Andersen). She rose to lead the firm’s strategy consulting practice before founding ReStraL Ltd in 1996, a top-tier research, strategy, and leadership development firm.
Her passion for building sustainable institutions became most evident during her groundbreaking tenure from 2004 to 2012 as the first female Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the Joint Tax Board. There, she spearheaded sweeping reforms that modernized tax administration and dramatically improved government revenue. Her work extended globally, as a member of the UN Committee of Experts on International Tax Cooperation and as a founder of both ATAF and WATAF, strengthening tax systems across Africa.
Currently, she serves as the Group CEO of the CPP Group and chairs or sits on several influential boards, including Nigerian Breweries, PZ Cussons, and Afya Care. She is also deeply invested in leadership development and ethical governance, shown through her involvement with FranklinCovey Nigeria and DAGOMO Foundation. Academically decorated, she holds degrees from the University of Lagos (First Class), Imperial College, and Harvard Kennedy School, and is a Fellow of ICAN, CITN, and CIN. Her career reflects a deep commitment to institution-building, good governance, and equipping the next generation of African leaders through strategy, compliance, and public service reform.
